Johanne Mullarkey is a licensed title agent with over 23 years of experience at FGTE, including many years as the supervisor of FGTE. Through her example, Johanne perpetuates the tradition of excellence and personal service that are hallmarks of FGTE. “I am privileged to work with one of the most knowledgeable processors in the industry, Sharon Gray. We work as a team; a team that respects one another,” Johanne says. Prior to joining First Guardian, she worked in the banking industry for over 25 years. Johanne is a graduate of Kutztown University, Virginia Bankers School at the University of Virginia, and the National Compliance School at the University of Oklahoma. A Pennsylvania native, she has lived near our Prince William County office for more than 35 years. She is a member of the Woodbridge Rotary and has served on the board of SAVAS, Crime Solvers and Prince William Boys and Girls Club. Her favorite hobby? Being a grandmother.

Sharon Gray

Licensed Title Agent/Senior Settlement Processor

Sharon has been with FGTE since its inception, and has over 35 years experience working in the real estate/title insurance industry. With her extensive hands-on knowledge, Sharon has fostered numerous relationships with area home builders, real estate investors and realtors who would not work with anyone else. She appreciates the family atmosphere within FGTE, and says, “Although small, we strive to accommodate our customer needs and provide exceptional service.” Sharon is a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia.

Nicole Marucci

Chief of Operations

Attorney Nicole Marucci is the Chief of Operations at FGTE and is committed to optimizing procedures and processes to make the settlement process a seamless experience for everyone. Prior to joining FGTE, Nicole established and managed the Prince William County branch office of a large title company, increasing revenue by over $3 million in the first year.

Nicole also previously managed the Lake Ridge branch of another title company, where she oversaw the settlement processing and post closing teams and developed and implemented a new attorney training program.

Nicole has been in the Prince William County real estate industry since graduating from Michigan State University College of Law and being admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 2014. She has served on the boards of the county’s REALTOR® Association and of the Women’s Council of REALTORS®.

At FGTE, Nicole “likes that we’re smaller than the massive title companies and can focus on making the experience better on an individual basis.” She appreciates the “incredible rapport” the company has with realtors and enjoys being in the tight-knit community of Prince William County.

Lori Vlahopoulos

Licensed Title Agent

Lori “V” Vlahopoulos is a licensed title agent with more than 20 years of experience in the field. She aided in the startup of two title businesses and has worked with Maryland, and Virginia title companies. Lori holds a degree in communications from the University of Baltimore, and a master's degree in communications and Corporate Development from the University of Colorado. Lori enjoys collaborating with local realtors, mortgage firms and clients to facilitate seamless transactions in the dynamic real estate environment. She is passionate about leadership and customer service and elevating the experience of everyone involved in the settlement process. Lori is a member of the Realtor Association of Prince William County. She is a dog lover and lives in Manassas, VA.

Erica Argueta

Settlement Post Closer

Erica is a licensed settlement post closer and has worked in the title insurance industry for more than 12 years. Through her experience, she has been involved from the beginning to the end of the settlement process. She has lived in the Lake Ridge area for nearly 20 years, and graduated from Northern Virginia Community College and Woodbridge High School. Erica believes that clients have the advantage of FGTE because its small size enables the staff to cater to individual client needs. She enjoys the industry because “something always comes up and keeps me on my toes.” Erica especially appreciates the responsiveness and camaraderie of her fellow staff members and FGTE leadership. In her personal time, Erica can be found exercising in a myriad of ways-–from pure barre to pilates to taking nature walks while listening to podcasts.

David Ellis Field, Esq.

Real Estate Attorney

Attorney David Field has been conducting real estate settlements in the Woodbridge area for 20 years, including explaining the insurance to home purchasers. He earned a J.D. from George Mason University of Law, and both an M.Ed. and B.A. from the University of Virginia. David is a nearly lifetime resident of Northern Virginia and has known members of the firm for 20+ years. It’s the people at FGTE that make the difference, he believes. “They are all very experienced and go beyond the call of duty to assist clients,” he says. David appreciates the opportunity to help people purchase their new homes, and solve the challenges that can arise in the process. He is a model builder enthusiast, including cars, figures and military models and is also a member of the Northern Virginia Corvette Club.

Vicki Knight

Settlement Processor

Vicki Knight is a processor at FGTE and brings five years of experience in that field, and several years expertise as a real estate agent. A California native, Vicki and her family have lived in Stafford for more than 10 years. She values contributing to and witnessing the joy clients experience when they buy, or even sell their homes. The smaller size of FGTE creates “a comfort zone that nurtures camaraderie and teamwork, instead of getting lost in a larger company,” she says. Vicki’s family has always been her personal focus, and they travel with their camper when time permits.

Sara Kek, Esq.

Real Estate Attorney

Attorney Sara Kek earned her J.D. from The Catholic University of America Columbus School of Law and has been working in the title industry since 2013. She graduated with a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland, College Park. At FGTE, Sara believes the community and attention to detail give clients a personalized experience. She appreciates dual aspects of working in the industry–the transactional piece, like title clearing challenges, as well as the face-to-face client interaction. “I enjoy getting to know people and different personalities throughout the process, especially at the settlement table,” she says. Sara volunteers and gives back to the community through Vienna Moms, Inc. which connects her to different charities in the area and helps to teach children about charity through annual events like holiday gift drive and trick-or-treating at the local nursing home. Sara enjoys family time with her two young daughters and being outdoors hiking and running. She and her family live in Vienna, Virginia.

Kathy Tate

Administrative Support

Kathy Tate has more than 20 years experience in the title and settlement field, fulfilling every role from pre-processor to managing a real estate title office. Currently, she provides administrative support to FGTE. “I had tried to retire, but a phone call from FGTE changed all that. I’m excited to be brought back in the industry by this company because they have always had such an amazing reputation,” she says. Kathy thrives on troubleshooting problems in the process and believes in being proactive. She also strives to make every agent feel like they are the only client she has at the time. The military brought Kathy and her family to Stafford in 2004, and she has been involved in the community including serving on the board of the SlyStrong#6 Foundation that provides college scholarships to Stafford high school seniors and support for local families dealing with cancer.

Betsy Slepetz

Betsy Slepetz is an Agent for FGTE Title & Escrow of Lake Ridge, LLC. She has been with the firm for more than 20 years, and worked five years prior to that time in the industry. Her longevity in the field is fueled by her appreciation for the ever changing nature of the work and its diverse challenges. A resident of Prince William County since the 1970s, Betsy has been an active volunteer in her Belmont Bay community. In her personal time, Betsy loves to travel.

With a business degree from Liberty University, Ashley thrives at FGTE, where the small team means everyone gets personalized attention—no one gets lost in the shuffle here! When she’s not busy helping clients, you can find her enjoying quality time with her daughters, playing around in the barn with horses, or just soaking up family moments. Ashley believes that the little things in life are what truly matter, and she brings that same warmth and care to her work every day.

Scott Mozingo is an attorney with over 23 years of experience in the real estate industry. He earned his J.D. from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Scott is a lifelong resident of Northern Virginia, who currently lives in Manassas just a few miles from his childhood home. He has been married for over 20 years and has two daughters that keep him busy. His older daughter attends James Madison University and the younger daughter is a student at Osbourn Park High School. His favorite part of working in the title industry is educating Real Estate Agents. Over the course of his career, he has taught classes for PWAR, DAAR, GPAR, and NVAR. He currently heads up the Education Department of First Guardian offering classes to Agents throughout Virginia.
